I have failed many times. One of my failures that meant a lot to me occurred some months before. I failed an internship position at one of my favourite companies, despite my efforts of reading lots of books and self-study about it.

At that time, I went through tons of stress, especially peer pressure when I soon graduated from RMIT. Lots of my fellow students have pretty good internship positions in well-known companies. At that time, I was really confident about my skills and my knowledge, and I bet all my time and my preparation for this position. However, in the final round, I failed. It took me one month to recover. I did not send any new applications because of the failure anxiety. But I relaxed a little bit, hanging around with friends to revive the positive energy and re-apply for the company that I’m currently working for. And now I’m here, full of energy and a learning spirit.

I have learnt that failure is unfinished success. Success will come with perseverance and effort. I know that on the journey ahead I am still full of energy with a hunger for success. I decided to keep trying, keep failing to understand more about myself, to make bigger steps in the future.

To RMIT students, I just want to wish you all the best and hope that you will love RMIT University as much as I do. RMIT is the place for you to discover your true potential. You should always be ready to motivate others and be motivated by them, to fully enjoy your university journey.
