On Friday, March 1st, an engaging event on Automation and AI in Logistics & Supply Chain Management took place, drawing in a crowd of 40 alumni from various sectors and organizations. The attendees represented a diverse range of roles including Business Analysts, Logistics Operations Excellence Managers, Supply Chain Specialists, FDI Officers, and Logistics and Supply Chain Executives, among others.

The event provided an opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in the latest advancements in automation and AI within the logistics and supply chain sector. A highlight of the event was the demonstration of cutting-edge robotics technology by ABB Vietnam, showcasing robotic arm applications in handling, palletizing, and packaging within the SCM sector.
Additionally, STI presented their Robot AMR, showcasing its effectiveness in intralogistics for materials and finished goods in warehousing settings.

Guests were also treated to insights from industry experts, with two guest speakers delivering thought-provoking talks. Nguyen Song Diep, Co-founder & Product Lead at PNC Tech Company, and Ha Thanh Son shared their expertise, adding depth to the discussions surrounding automation and AI in logistics and supply chain management.
Nguyen Song Diep indicated Top 4 popular technologies for warehousing include: Robot arm for palletizing, AMR/AGV, Conveyor & Sorting and finally is Automated Storage (As/RS)
Mr. Ha Thanh Son dug in the example of Shopee with 2 million orders and packages per day. Therefore, technological application is the game changer for every logistics organization. Son also showed his personal experience of applying robots in every step of the supply chain to prove the advantages of this modern trend in the industry.
As the event progressed, excitement heightened with the commencement of the lucky draw, adding a lively atmosphere to the proceedings. The first prizes of the night were golf vouchers from the sponsor Mr. Jason Nguyen, Founder & CEO of ACE Golf Vietnam. The second gift was a tea break voucher at Hotel de l’Opera, sponsored by Ms. Pham Huyen My, alumna of Tourism and Hospitality Management (2023). And the gift for the third lucky alumni was a gift set from Viet Scent by Ms. Linh Tran, alumna of Bachelor of Commerce (2013).
