Through our outreach initiative “Care Your Eyes – Shine Your Future”, we strive to bring clearer vision and brighter hopes to underserved children. More than just eyeglasses, we offer them a chance to see the world with dignity and possibility. With community support, we collect usable eyeglasses via charity xoxes at Spectrum Eyecare – Thao Dien Green (192 Nguyen Van Huong, District 2) and the British International School. Each pair is carefully restored by Spectrum’s team. Our caring optometrists then provide eye exams, fit the children with suitable frames and Essilor lenses, and deliver the glasses with love.

I was driven by the belief that something as simple as clear vision can empower a child’s future. In many underserved communities, especially among children studying in temple-run orphanage classes, basic eye care is often overlooked. Through this initiative, I aim to bridge the gap in access to vision care—because every child deserves the chance to see the world clearly, to read, learn, and dream without barriers.

This initiative has deepened our community engagement and strengthened the connection between healthcare and social responsibility in our field. It turned a commercial eyecare service into a meaningful platform for change. So far, we’ve collected and restored hundreds of eyeglasses and conducted personalized eye exams for dozens of children, with plans to scale. Beyond numbers, the gratitude in each child's smile reminds us that small acts can create lasting impact.

One of the proudest moments was seeing a young girl put on her first pair of glasses and immediately beam with excitement—reading signs she never knew existed. That moment captured the heart of this project: turning blurry limitations into bright, visible opportunities. It affirmed that this isn’t just about eyewear; it’s about opening up a new way of seeing life, learning, and self-worth.
