As General Manager of Elfie Vietnam, I lead operations in the company’s most dynamic market—home to our largest user base and fastest growth, driving Elfie’s mission to transform healthcare through digital innovation. Our initiative brings cutting-edge healthtech to Vietnamese users, empowering them with free, AI-driven tools to manage chronic conditions and improve health outcomes. By supporting the digital transformation of Vietnam’s healthcare system, we’re delivering high-quality, accessible care at scale. This work reflects a bold transformation of public health, fueled by inspiration to close care gaps, and marked by the creation of a world-class digital health platform that’s reshaping lives.
Through it all, RMIT has been an anchor in my journey.
I’ve always believed that access to quality healthcare should be a right—not a privilege. In Vietnam, where chronic diseases are escalating and many still struggle to access consistent care, I saw a clear calling: to close the gap between traditional healthcare and digital innovation. That vision led me to Elfie, where we are making preventive, AI-driven health tools accessible to everyone—regardless of age, income, or location. Of course, transformation doesn’t come easy.
One of the toughest challenges was building trust in a space where digital health was still unfamiliar. We had to win hearts and minds—of patients, clinicians, and institutions alike. That meant deep listening, localizing every part of our product, and staying fiercely committed to creating genuine value. My advice for anyone in a similar role is this: stay close to your users. Build with empathy. And never underestimate the power of local execution when building something global. What keeps me going isn’t just the growth metrics or headlines. It’s the human stories—the quiet wins.
Just before Lunar New Year, a 93-year-old gentleman sent us a heartfelt message. He had survived a heart attack and undergone a stent procedure, and was, in his words, “losing all hope.” With help from his family, he began using Elfie. Not only did he gain control over his health, but he also rediscovered joy. He told us Elfie made him feel young again. That message stays with me. It’s a reminder that our work isn’t about apps or algorithms—it’s about restoring hope.
The lessons I learned during university still guide me, and the alumni network continues to challenge and inspire me. Most meaningfully, I’ve stayed connected to my lecturers—mentors I turn to when life gets complicated. Their wisdom reminds me I’m never alone. RMIT isn’t just a chapter of my past. It’s a living source of encouragement that continues to shape my purpose and impact.
