As Head of Marketing at Stone Cybersecurity, a Singapore-based CREST-accredited firm, I lead the strategic marketing function to drive brand visibility, generate demand, and support business growth across Southeast Asia. I am responsible for shaping and executing our marketing vision in a highly dynamic, trust-centric industry. My role spans the full marketing spectrum, from positioning our end-to-end cybersecurity solutions to leading integrated campaigns across marketing, partnerships, and thought leadership. I work closely with internal teams to translate complex offerings such as security testing, strategic advisory, compliance support, managed detection, and cybersecurity training into clear, compelling narratives.

Listening is just as important as leading.

My motivation to pursue this work both professionally and in my capacity as President of RMIT Alumni Singapore stems from a deep belief in the power of connection, purpose-driven communication, and community building. Whether in business or in service of the alumni network, I have been driven to create platforms that bring people together, share knowledge, and spark action.

In my career, I have worked in government agencies, large government-linked companies, and start-ups to amplify their impact through strategic marketing and storytelling. The problem I consistently aim to solve is how to communicate complex ideas in ways that resonate, build trust, and inspire change. Similarly, in the alumni space, I saw a need to reinvigorate our community in Singapore, transforming it from a passive network into a vibrant, engaged hub that supports professional growth, celebrates achievements, and connects members across generations.

Since stepping into the RMIT Alumni senior leadership role, I have helped rebuild momentum post-pandemic—revamping our communications, launching events, and creating new channels for collaboration with industry, the university, and fellow alumni. Our goal is to grow both reach and relevance by hosting cross-sector dialogues, championing alumni success stories, and supporting causes that matter to our members.

One of the biggest challenges has been re-engaging a diverse alumni base with different priorities and levels of connection. I’ve learned that listening is just as important as leading. By creating inclusive, purpose-led touchpoints both online and in person, we are slowly restoring pride and participation in our RMIT identity.

The proudest moments in this journey are the most personal: when alumni come up to me after an event or reach out to say thank you for creating a space where they felt included, heard, and inspired. It’s a powerful reminder that behind every initiative is a community of individuals seeking to belong and grow. That’s what makes this work so worthwhile.
