Port of Hai Phong Port operates as a comprehensive logistics and supply chain ecosystem in which Client Service, as part of marketing, plays a vital role in connecting all stakeholders in the system. Our mission is to create and maximize value for customers, businesses, and all stakeholders by streamlining processes and enhancing port efficiency. In today’s highly competitive port industry, even the smallest added value for clients can make or break multimillion-dollar contracts with global shipping lines. At Port of Hai Phong, we believe Client Service is not just a department — it’s the future of port operations.
I truly believe that my bond with RMIT has been instrumental in not only shaping my professional journey but also in contributing to Hai Phong Port’s ongoing evolution toward innovation and sustainable development.
My proudest moment was being appointed as Group Director of the Client Service & Marketing — the youngest person ever to take on a senior leadership role in the Port of Hai Phong's history. I was also the first Australian national and RMIT alumnus to be entrusted with this responsibility.
This was more than just a personal milestone. It marked a new chapter where I could bring cutting-edge management knowledge and fresh strategic thinking to one of Vietnam’s oldest ports — and largest — with over 150 years of history. Being chosen to spearhead the future direction of the company through its customer service and long-term marketing strategies was like being the pilot guiding a vessel — steering transformation toward growth, innovation, and customer-centric excellence. I take great pride in being part of the dynamic and globally minded RMIT community.
The critical thinking, professional mindset, and management tools I gained from RMIT have empowered me to drive meaningful change in my organization. Moreover, RMIT’s strong brand recognition has opened doors to high-level collaborations and helped me connect with key stakeholders at both local and international levels. Through the RMIT alumni network, I’ve had opportunities to exchange insights on emerging business trends, gain inspiration for innovative service solutions, and apply tech-driven approaches to better serve our clients.
