Newscord makes it easy to understand big, complicated news stories. With AI-powered summaries and analysis, it gives you short and clear highlights of the most important information in seconds. Stories are broken into simple steps, with timelines and links between events, making it easy to follow along. Every summary shows source transparency, where users can click and see the original news articles to check the full details. It also shows media bias analysis, helping users see different sides of the news article. Our mission is to make news more transparent and simple, helping users stay informed with clarity.
My motivation to join this project came from seeing how difficult it can be to understand global news today. For example, stories like political conflicts or national elections are often presented differently by different news outlets, each with its own biases. This can confuse readers and make it hard to know what is really happening. I wanted to help solve this problem by building a platform that filters out bias, explains news clearly, and helps people make more informed decisions about which sources to trust.
One of the proudest moments in my work at Newscord was being one of the main developers who helped bring NewsCord's mobile app to a stable and user-ready version. I contributed to both coding and UX/UI design, making sure the app was functional but also easy to use. I also added key features, including an early version of our machine learning model that powers the news summaries and bias analysis. Throughout the process, I worked closely with the founder, who valued and implemented much of my feedback and suggestions. Seeing how my input directly shaped the product and improved the user experience was truly rewarding.
