As the organizer of IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam since 2015, Sunrise Events Vietnam has been instrumental in growing the nation's endurance sports scene. Their mission is to create leading mass participation events that promote sports tourism and a healthier ecosystem. Zoomations Communications, a proud partner, has supported this vision by capturing compelling documentaries and athlete stories. With the full IRONMAN 140.6 distance launching in 2026, they will achieve a significant milestone, continuing to inspire countless Vietnamese to embrace challenging sports and healthier lifestyles.

My passion for sports and filmmaking, coupled with a desire to contribute meaningfully, motivated me to pursue a niche often overlooked in Vietnam's commercial landscape: sports documentary. While many gravitate towards commercial ventures, I chose to dedicate my team at Zoomations to telling powerful sports stories. My core aim is to inspire more Vietnamese to embrace healthier, more fulfilling lives through the power of sport.
Over the past decade, this dedication has profoundly influenced my business. Today, approximately 75% of Zoomations' work is sport-related. Our collaboration with IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam has been particularly transformative. Through our compelling documentaries, we've helped Sunrise Events Vietnam, the organizer, significantly advance their vision: "Inspiring 100 million Vietnamese to embrace their full potential through the power of sports and healthy habits," and their mission: "Create the most sought-after mass participation events in Southeast Asia that promote sports tourism, expand the health & wellness ecosystem, and deliver transformative experiences and sustainable impact to individuals, businesses, and communities we serve." Our visual storytelling has directly impacted countless lives, visibly changing perceptions and encouraging widespread participation in triathlon.
Creating long-form content, especially sports documentaries, presents unique challenges. It demands immense patience, resilience, and a significant investment of time in the post-production process. Capturing the raw emotion and enduring spirit of an IRONMAN event and then weaving it into a cohesive, inspiring narrative is a marathon in itself. My advice to anyone in a similar role would be to cultivate unwavering patience and a deep belief in the story you're telling. The impact you can have makes every hour of meticulous editing worthwhile.
My proudest moments are when individuals tell me directly that after watching an IRONMAN film created by me and the Zoomations team, they were immediately inspired to take up the sport. This direct feedback, seeing our art translate into tangible lifestyle changes and a growing, healthier community, is the ultimate reward and validates every effort.
