I'm the founder of UK Motion, a Vietnam-based creative studio specializing in cinematic video production for weddings, brands, and events. Over the past 13 years, we’ve built a reputation for emotionally resonant storytelling and professional craftsmanship. Our work blends visual artistry with strategic communication, serving clients across Vietnam and beyond. In addition to production, I run Rise Academy, a filmmaking school that trains the next generation of visual storytellers. Through both business and education, my mission is to empower creators and elevate Southeast Asia’s creative industry with world-class storytelling and practical, hands-on training.

My motivation began with a deep love for storytelling and a desire to prove that powerful, world-class films can be made in Vietnam. I started UK Motion over a decade ago with minimal gear and no formal training, driven by the need to give local stories the quality they deserve. Over time, I realized that many aspiring filmmakers lacked both access and guidance, so I launched Rise Academy to provide practical, hands-on education—something I wish I had when starting out. Through both businesses, we’ve trained over 300 students and produced hundreds of commercial and wedding films that have reached millions online.

Our alumni now work professionally in production houses, agencies, and some have even started their own studios. One of my biggest challenges has been continuing to work as a filmmaker after losing the use of one arm due to a major health issue. Filmmaking is physically demanding—operating cameras, stabilizers, editing for hours—but I refused to let it stop me. I redesigned my workflow, adapted my gear, and trained my team to support where needed. I also embraced technology—like lightweight mirrorless systems and AI-assisted editing—to stay fast and effective. This challenge forced me to become more creative, efficient, and resilient.

Over the years, I've had the honor of serving many high-profile clients, from CEOs to celebrities. But my proudest moments have been filming weddings for the children of national leaders—families of the general secretary, former president, and former deputy prime minister of Vietnam. These opportunities weren’t just about prestige—they were about trust. Being chosen to capture such personal, once-in-a-lifetime moments for figures of that stature affirmed the quality, discretion, and emotional depth of our work. It reminded me that true excellence earns respect, no matter where you come from.
