1. CURRICULUM SUPPORT
Ensure the availability of suitable materials, equipment and digital platforms; helping to compile orders and obtain costings, whilst keeping up to date records of stock.
Careful management and organisation of department equipment and resources, ensuring a safe and productive work environment through the routine maintenance, preparation of equipment and learning spaces and the signing out of loaned equipment.
• Under the overall guidance of the Head of Department, ensure that both routine and non-routine checking, cleaning and maintenance of equipment is carried out to the required standard.
• Maintain oversight of the department technology and ensure that effective systems are in place to work closely with our IT team to ensure it is ready for student use.
• Support the music lesson coordinator
2. EVENT SUPPORT
• Be able to confidently provide logistical assistance at all Performing Arts events. • Assisting in the scheduling and monitoring of theatre practice spaces, some theater equipment and scripts.
• Administrative Assistance for Theater in marketing / promotion of theater and musical theater events, answer the department telephone, email, and mail.
• Assisting with the copying and distribution of scripts and other materials to be used in the theater department activities
• Assist the Performing Arts Teachers with auditions and related activities.
• Liaise with facilities manager and other non-teaching staff to support the smooth running of rehearsals and performances.
• Order and / or support with the design of costume, props and set (sourcing the appropriate materials, measuring students and completing all admin around the ordering process).
• Preparation of student of work for display within the school campus, our wider local community and virtually amongst our global networks.
• Be confident in handling and maintaining musical instruments such as tuning string instruments and restring guitars, ukuleles and bowed strings.
• Set up music equipment in a variety of venues inside and outside of school, liaising with external partners where necessary.
• Liase with HR and purchasing department to support with the completion of contracts for external performers
• Perform other duties as assigned
3. WHOLE SCHOOL SUPPORT
• Be proficient in using (or developing an understanding) of Microsoft Office and embedding technology into practice.
• Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required and agreed by your line manager.
• Be aware of, and comply with, policies and procedures relating to child protection and safeguarding, health safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the relevant person
