From Storytelling to Storyliving

About the event: 

Alumni to Alumni Circle (A2A Circle) is a monthly catchup for RMIT and Australian alumni who are senior leaders in diverse industries. This is a high-profile networking night that is exclusive for entrepreneurs and talents from the managerial level. The A2A series has been hosted since 2020 and received a great deal of positive feedback from the participants. Joining A2A Circle brings them opportunities to take away new knowledge, build their network with top leaders and learn from each other’s business models and projects.

We are now in a world where an average 18-year-old observes about 10,000 marketing messages daily because every brand has a dramatic story to tell. People are tired of being talked at and sold to, and that is where brand trusts go low – ‘Talking the talk’ might no longer be enough. This begs the question: how do you cut through the noise to drive conversions while not actively selling your product?

This brings us to the concept of ‘story-living’, which is more about what brands do, and less about what they say. By creating a compelling narrative and conveying it across multiple channels, brands can bring to life a sense of purpose and draw in consumers on a deeper level. Story-living enhances brand’s authenticity and involves consumers in brand stories. With every brand having a story to tell, the very best differentiate themselves with a dedication to living it – and helping their audience to do so too.
