[HCMC] Cook for a Cause

This is a cooking event to donate food to underserved community members and fight against food waste.

Cook for a Cause is a networking event hosted by RMIT Alumni Vietnam and Vietharvest to tackle food waste and donate meals to underserved community people within the day. This event is part of the broader campaign entitled “Sạch – Sành – Sanh/ Clean – Clever – Continuity“, which aims to promote sustainable development in Vietnam.

What is special about this event?

In this event, participants will learn how to cook under the guidance of a reputed chef, and then ship these meals to children at the charity centers.

Who will receive the food donation?

Around 100 children at the Binh Trieu Development Centre & Binh Tho Development Centre 

Agenda: 

  • 10h45 -11h00: Check-in
  • 11h00 – 11h30: Have a light brunch and network with other alumni 
  • 11h30 -11h50: Introduction about the “Sạch – Sành – Sanh/ Clean – Clever – Continuity” campaign and play an ice-breaking game
  • 11h50 – 12h00: Introduction about Vietharvest
  • 12h00 – 13h30: Cooking time (Crab fried rice, Fried chicken) 
  • 13h30 – 13h45: Label 100 meals and put on the shipping truck
  • 13h45 – 14h15: Enjoying meals.

  • Registration is due by June 20. Due to a limited capacity, registration does not guarantee attendance. Successful registrants will receive confirmation via email.
