New members to join RMIT Alumni Advisory Board
In April, the RMIT Alumni Advisory Board was excited to welcome two new members, Ms. Nguyen Le Chi Mai, Co-Founder/ Group CEO – N KID GROUP (tiNiWorld), and Mr. Pham Tuan, CEO – Cong Bang Corporation to join the group. Our board, with new members, in four groups of industries (Financial Services, Manufacturing & Retail, Entrepreneurs, Professional Services) is dedicated to navigating the activities of the community toward:
- Fostering collaborations within and outside the community through new programs
- Contributing to the social agenda under the themes of sustainability and inclusion
About Ms. Nguyen Le Chi Mai:
Ms. Mai Nguyen, a graduate of Bachelor of Commerce (2011) started her journey as an entrepreneur in an unexpected way. For one of the assignments at RMIT, she came up with the business idea of bringing an educational and entertainment playground for kids in Vietnam. She kept that inspiring idea to co-found first-ever Vietnamese “Edutainment centre” for kids called tiNiWorld which officially opened in 2009. From its modest beginning, tiNiWorld has now grown to a network of over 50 locations nationwide, serving approximately 10 million customers annually, and continues its mission of bringing a perfect childhood to Vietnamese children.
About Mr. Pham Tuan:
Mr. Tuan followed the RMIT Executive Master of Business Administration to enhance his business knowledge and expand his network after founding his own company Cong Bang corporation. Started in 2008 with a focus on insulation, and industrial materials, it has now included consulting and trading services, as well as technical solutions to clients from multiple industries in Vietnam and across the region.
Last year, with the support from the Advisory Board, we kept connected with more than 86% of alumni in the community and had around 6,000 alumni involved in at least one of our activities, which inspired around 2,500 students in teaching and learning.
