[Hanoi A2A #1] Dining etiquette and wine knowledge for business leaders

On 8 April, the first Alumni to Alumni Circle (A2A Circle) was conducted in Hanoi with 35 high-profile leaders discussing the theme of Dining etiquette and wine knowledge for business leaders.

Since business dining can be challenging to navigate, especially when it’s the first time hosting networking with new clients, industry partners, or investors, a solid understanding of business dining etiquette will help to stay respectful to our international guests.

Understanding that mutuality, RMIT Vietnam Alumni proudly have Ms. Uyen San, CEO of HP Vietnam, as our event facilitator. HP is a member of Huy Phong Group which has 20 years of experience in Vietnamese fine wine wholesale importing.

“A subsequent etiquette is what drives most. We can have excellent knowledge regards our expertise, but the know-how to create a professional, mutually respectful atmosphere, especially when women and international guests are at the table, always captures the interests of our partners in mind.”

With Ms. Uyen San’s experience, accountability, and enthusiasm, insightful sharing towards the art of wine has been layered for all. A clear demonstration and different perspectives of business etiquette, namely wine tasting, drinking, pouring, and clinking also allow the professionals to consolidate their subtlety and class with international parties.

On this special occasion, we also announced the addition of 6 new members in Hanoi to the Advisory Board: Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thao, Country Manager at ASEAN Business Partners; Ms. Nguyen Huyen Chau, Founder of VAN HOA; Mr. Vu Tat Thinh, Managing Director at Llumar; Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Corporate Director of F&B at BIM Group; Ms. Pham Nhat Nga, CEO at Creatio and Mr. Hoang Long Nhat, CEO at MAJ. These experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders will provide deeper insights and mentorship from alumni perspective, together strengthening the collaboration between RMIT and the Alumni community in North Vietnam.

On the day, RMIT Alumni also welcomed excellent individuals in diverse industries, ranging from Investment, Retail, Banking, Media & Communication, Education, Technology, Architects, and Hospitality. We have seen various practices towards navigating business dinners in order to successfully deliver positive outcomes. Along with the professional setting, A2A Circle this April also offered various opportunities for our Alumni to build connections and express future collaborations across industries.

We believe the high-impact, engaging implementation of A2A Circle in Hanoi is a joint effort to accelerate RMIT Alumni community, emphasize the networking benefits, and develop cooperation in the managerial level. The establishment of the Advisory Board in Hanoi will also help to leverage the exchange of experience, knowledge, and insight in a professional environment. We are looking forward to a more collaborative and inclusive development afterward in the upcoming A2A Event in Hanoi.
