Alumni inspire the career growth in sustainability

On 16 August, as a joint event between Act Green and Personal Edge, Panel Discussion: You and Sustainability was held in RMIT Hanoi Campus. The panel included three guest speakers, two of which were RMIT alumni: Ms. Huong Tran – Executive Assistant at WWF Asia Pacific, Ms. Quynh-Anh Vu – Business Development Manager at Boydens Vietnam part of Sweco and Mr. Nam Nguyen – Country Director of AVSE Global.  

All speakers are constantly working at international firms where prioritize protecting environment and sustainable development  

Vu Ngoc Quynh Anh, Business Development Manager at Boydens Vietnam part of Sweco

  • Headquarter based in Belgium, Boydens Vietnam part of Sweco has been active as technical engineering designers and consultants for construction. They come with great responsibility for sustainable and low energy building solutions that minimize impacts on the environment.   • Quynh Anh will be an inspiration for our students who want to explore opportunities to work in sustainable theme. Graduated from Master of International Business, Quynh Anh successfully pursuits her career related to #sustainable #engineering, which are known as very technical and new emerged industry in Vietnam.

Tran Thi Thu Huong, Executive Assistant to Regional Director Asia Pacific, WWF

  • World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) works to help local communities conserve the natural resources they depend upon; transform markets and policies toward sustainability; and protect and restore species and their habitats.
  • Tran Thi Thu Huong graduated in MBA program at RMIT. She has many years collaborating with partners from local to global level to support WWF’s vision in sustaining the natural world for the benefit of people and wildlife

With 20 RMIT students from diverse majors in attendance, the event focused on exploring how sustainability is shaping the future. Through thought-provoking discussions and interactive sessions, the event encouraged participants to reflect on their personal role in sustainability and sparked ideas for future initiatives. 

Engaging session of students and alumni to discuss about sustainability in daily life and career opportunities

This event is part of the “Act Green” campaign, which aims to highlight the green initiatives of RMIT alumni firms and industry partners. “Act Green” will make the eco-friendly lifestyle more accessible to everyone by promoting sustainable initiatives and like-minded people.
