Meet our Alumni: Luu Huong Ly
Currently a Partnerships Manager at a leading studio in software development and artificial intelligence (AI), Luu Huong Ly (Lily Luu) shares that studying for her master’s degree at RMIT Melbourne truly equipped her with the knowledge and skills to seize advancement opportunities in the IT field during the 4.0 technology era.
With an undergraduate background in business and in-depth knowledge of marketing from her master’s in Marketing at RMIT Melbourne, Lily has developed a profound understanding of potential corporate clients, their journey, and behaviour, allowing her to approach them more subtly and effectively. She also noticed a change in her mindset, becoming more multidimensional and insightful.
The multicultural learning environment with friends from around the world helped her expand her network across continents, gaining deeper insights into customers from various countries, laying the groundwork for signing important contracts and establishing long-term strategic partnerships for her company.

“I still remember in the Marketing Management course, my lecturer had worked at Cadbury, a long-standing chocolate manufacturer in Australia. She brought vibrant examples and practical case studies to help us gain a realistic view of marketing management in the food industry.”
“In the Product Innovation course, we had the opportunity to participate in a small competition, which was also an assignment worth 40% of the course, organised in collaboration with Royal Nut Company and RMIT. It was an incredibly memorable learning experience. We were divided into groups to develop a product from A-Z: brainstorming, sourcing ingredients for new nut-based products, packaging, pricing, and marketing strategies. Our group won second place in the competition, along with a High Distinction grade for the course. It was an invaluable experience during my studies.”
