A Special Friday Night for Marketing and Communication alumni

On February 28, 2025, RMIT Vietnam Alumni hosted a heartfelt Friday Night networking event at the RMIT Hanoi Campus, uniting graduates passionate about the Marketing and Communication fields. This special occasion also marked the 25th anniversary of RMIT in Vietnam, bringing together over 50 alumni to reconnect and celebrate their shared journey. Notable companies in attendance included Vietcetera, Vietnam News Agency, the Embassy of Belgium, Clever Group, Savills, Vietnam Television, TBWA, FPT, Daehong Communications Vietnam Co., Ltd, VCCorp, Rạng Đông, CREATIO, Techcombank, and many more.

With a warm welcome and engaging activities organized, participants enjoyed a night brimming with excitement, meaningful discussions, and joyful celebrations.

RMIT Time Machine

The evening kicked off with a fun icebreaker Kahoot game that transported alumni on a nostalgic journey through their memories at RMIT Hanoi. Laughter filled the room as they revisited favorite moments, from cherished lectures to unforgettable experiences with friends. The questions sparked joy and camaraderie, reminding everyone of the bonds forged during their time at RMIT.

Recap of Alumni Community in 2024

In the spirit of the 25th anniversary, a touching recap video highlighted the remarkable activities of the alumni community in 2024, showcasing the profound impact RMIT has had over the years. As alumni watched, a sense of pride filled the room, knowing their contributions had shaped not only their own lives but also the community around them. A special Facebook frame was launched during the event as a token of appreciation for their unwavering support throughout the years.

Proud of Being a Part of RMIT

One of the evening’s highlights was the photobooth, where alumni captured new memories with exclusive RMIT-themed frames and props. Laughter echoed as they posed together, proudly sharing their new pictures online with the hashtag #rmitvn25years #ProudtobeRMITalumni , celebrating their identity as RMIT alumni. The “RMIT Flashback Fever Board” showcased precious photos and heartfelt birthday wishes for RMIT Vietnam, creating an emotional space for reflection and connection. Participants eagerly reminisced and penned additional wishes, knowing these sentiments would be shared with the wider alumni community.

An Inspiring Story: “What Makes Me Drive Change”

The guest speaker of the night, Ms. Hien Linh, an RMIT International Business graduate and currently the Deputy Head of Project Marketing at UNICEF, captivated the audience with her inspiring talk about the “Fix My Food Vietnam” project. Her engaging presentation included a mini-game that surprised everyone with the shocking sugar levels in popular soft drinks, highlighting the importance of awareness in our daily choices.

Ms. Linh’s story, titled “What Makes Me Drive Change?”, resonated deeply with all present, especially those standing at life’s crossroads. She emphasized that true success isn’t merely about personal achievements; it’s about the lasting impact we leave on others, a message that helps all the alumni who are struggling with their careers.

Networking & Closing

The event concluded with an open networking session, allowing attendees to engage with Ms. Linh, connect with new alumni, and reminisce with old friends. This was a beautiful opportunity for alumni to exchange contact information, explore potential collaborations, and forge new friendships.
