[HCMC] Career Insights #2: When Asking the Right Questions is Key

As a fresh graduate, the path to success can often feel like a puzzle. While many focus on what to do, real progress often lies in understanding the how and why. Ultimately, the secret might just be this: asking the right people the right questions.

On Thursday, 11 June – Our event Career Insights #2 opened a unique space for fresh graduates in Ho Chi Minh City to connect with senior alumni across MarCom, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Accounting, and Human Resources. As our fresh graduates navigate the chaos of 2026 with rapid market changes, it is essential that we help bridge the gap by introducing opportunities where they can connect with those who have successfully navigated the first years of their career and do a simple act: asking the right questions.

The event opened a space for fresh graduates to connect meaningfully with senior alumni and engage in conversations critical to their career progression.

Being Curious is Key

Curiosity is the defining trait for fresh graduates in 2026 – said Mr. Sudarshan Saha, Head of Integrated Communications at Nestlé Vietnam. He emphasized that exploring diverse industries was instrumental in his career journey which has guided him in his journey to identify and recognize his professional passions and boundaries. His advice to graduates? Staying relentlessly curious as this is the most reliable compass for navigating challenges and discovering our next destination.

Mr. Sudarshan Saha, Head of Integrated Communications at Nestlé Vietnam, shared his career stories and insights with the fresh graduates.

The 2026 Shifts: Opportunities or Challenges?

The event also addressed the shifting landscape for fresh graduates. While Mrs. Ha Thu Minh, Director of Tho Trang Co Ltd., addressed the pressures of a rapidly evolving, AI-driven market, Mrs. Lam Huy Ngan (Jo Lam), CEO & CMO at Jamlos & Rustea, offered an optimistic perspective that today’s graduates are uniquely positioned to leverage a wealth of resources, supported by a senior generation eager to provide mentorship and valuable insights to help them successfully navigate.

Mrs. Lam Huy Ngan (Jo Lam) discussed the opportunities for fresh graduates in 2026, addressing the variety of resources and available support.

What Do Fresh Graduates Think?

As our fresh graduates were asked to describe the event in three words, two most mentioned keywords include Insightful and Inspiring. Through meaningful dialogues between fresh graduates and senior alumni, the event unfolded the nuances of today’s post-graduation journey and the power of cross-disciplinary connections, addressing potential for our next sessions to continue addressing their needs and expectations.

The event bridges cross-industry connections and in-depth career conversations.
