Alumnus enjoys to learn how things work

As someone who always enjoyed working with his hands and learning how things work, studying an engineering program at RMIT in Vietnam was a perfect match for Nicholas Panella. Through the class projects, he discovered a keen interest for one of the fastest-growing sectors in the field. “The electrical-electronics field is vast, so it was great to get exposure to the many different types of work. I developed a passion for the renewable energy sector while at RMIT and continue to pursue it at my new job where they have a large solar division within the company,” says Nicholas. Since graduating and returning to his native United States, Nicholas has gained employment with a leading electrical construction company in Chicago, Continental Electric Construction Company. He now sees an opportunity to build an engineering career specialising in the renewable energy sector. “I have been participating in a training program at my new job. My goal is to eventually join the solar division as an engineer upon completion of training.”
