RMIT Vietnam Alumni collects Personal Information when you register for an account when you use certain Services (including when you sign up for an account, register for your business, create or share, and message or communicate with others).
1.1. When you register with us, we will ask you for and/or collect Personal Information (for example, enter your full name, email address, birth date, photo, SID, etc) and Business Information (for example, business logo, business name, business website, Facebook, business description), industry.
1.2. By registering with us, you acknowledge and agree that we may access and store your Personal Information and Business Information in RMIT Vietnam Data Centre, and our third-party Google Analytics.
1.3. Once you register with us and sign in to our Services, you are not anonymous to us.
1.4. If you contact us about any of the Services (via email, telephone, post, or otherwise), we may collect and retain your contact details and your communication to handle your query and keep records of communications.
Personal Information and other details about you and your business that you supply as part of the registration process or that are collected by us when you use the Services are used to provide you with the Services and information as set out in our Terms of Use. We will not use that information for any purpose other than as set out as part of the Services.
2.1. We will use the information provided by you to help you promote your business through inside connections, leverage your professional network, get introduced to people, socially interact with other users, and create and/or share business opportunities. You consent to the use of your prole and Personal Information being used for this purpose.
2.2. We use information for the following general purposes to fulfill your requests for services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and for internal reporting. You agree that we may transfer your Personal Information for the general purposes set out above within RMIT Vietnam Alumni.
2.3. You agree that we may send you certain communications, such as service announcements administrative messages, and other communications relating to our Services.
The personal information you provide to us will be displayed to other alumni of the platform including your full name, major, and year of graduation. The business Information you provide us will be displayed to the public including your business logo, business name, business website/facebook, and business description.
3.1. We do not rent, sell, or share Personal Information about you with other people or companies except to provide products or services you’ve requested when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances: Responding to court orders, legal process, or to any legitimate request by authorities with which we must comply; and To investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
3.2. You also agree that we may transfer your information to the other departments within RMIT Vietnam to use for its development and advancement purposes (including in connection with the work with alumni, friends, and donors to support students, faculty, research, and outreach initiatives).
4.1. You may delete your account/information by emailing us at alumni@rmit.edu.vn to confirm to terminate the account
4.2. Please note that:
Information that you have shared with others and that others have shared about you is not part of your account and will not be deleted when you delete your account or request that information about you be deleted, and it may take some time to delete data stored in backup systems
Your Personal Information is stored in electronic and physical records maintained by us and/or our service providers.
5.1. The security of all personally identifiable information associated with you is taken very seriously and all Personal Information supplied is treated confidentially. We therefore have several security measures in place to try to protect against the loss, unauthorized use, and corruption of any Personal Information that is under our control. We review our security and privacy policies regularly and improve them where it is reasonably possible to do so. We do not guarantee that loss, unauthorized use, corruption, and/or alteration of information will ever occur, but we use all reasonable efforts to prevent it.
5.2. Please note that the input of data over the internet is never fully secure. We cannot, therefore, guarantee the security of data you submit via the Sites in transit over the internet, and any such submission is at entirely your own risk. Please ensure that you never leave your device logged on or use the Services in a public place where others can potentially see your details.
6.1. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.
6.2. We reserve the right but have no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other users and to restrict, suspend, or close your account if we determine, to our sole discretion, that doing so is necessary to enforce these Terms.
6.3. We cannot guarantee that other users will not use the ideas and information that you share to and/or through our Services. Therefore, if you have an idea or information that you would like to keep confidential or don’t want others to use, or that is subject to third-party rights that may be infringed by your sharing it, do not share it with and/or through our Services. We are not responsible for another’s misuse or misappropriation of any content or information you post.
We may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your Personal Information we will notify you by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account or by posting a prominent notice on our pages.

The guideline is developed to ensure a space that is safe, respectful, and inclusive for alumni and other members of RMIT to engage and exchange information. This guideline is applied to interactions via all channels owned by RMIT Vietnam Alumni including LinkedIn, Facebook, Alumni Network, Zalo group, Email, and business telephone number. By engaging in any online conversations on the above platforms mentioned, alumni acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of these rules and regulations.
2.1. Be alert for scams and frauds. All information from RMIT Vietnam Alumni is communicated via our official channels and/or email alumni@rmit.edu.vn.
2.2. All events organized by RMIT Vietnam Alumni are free of charge for alumni to register and attend. Stay alert for any invitations that require payments.
2.3. Never share One-Time Passwords (OTPs) and sensitive banking information such as account numbers, card details, or login credentials with anyone, even if they represent a legitimate organization.
3.1. Our community is diverse, with varying backgrounds and perspectives. Respect others’ viewpoints, even if they differ from your own when exchanging communication.
3.2. Treat online interactions as you would in-person exchanges by maintaining a professional and friendly tone.
3.3. Always use polite and respectful language when addressing others.
3.4. Avoid name-calling, cursing, expressing deliberately offensive opinions.
4.1. Must not share personal information of others publicly on social media without mutual consent and agreement.
4.2. Respect the direct communications exclusively sent to you from RMIT staff by not copying, forwarding, distributing, or capturing any part of the conversations without mutual consent and agreement.
5.1. Feedback to any alumni members and our staff must be constructive.
5.2. Reach out to the RMIT Vietnam Alumni Relations team if you experience a concern, rather than posting complaints publicly.
5.3. Excessive posting, tagging, or messaging could be seen as inappropriate and should be avoided.
5.4. Use inclusive language to support an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and welcome, regardless of background, career stage, and/or status.
6.1. The Alumni Relations team reserves the right to remove any inappropriate content or communication on our social channels.
6.2. Serious or repeated misconduct may lead to the user banning from our communication channels.
6.3. All disciplinary decisions made by the Alumni Relations team are final.
Our working hours are from 9 AM – 5 PM from Monday to Friday, except weekends and holidays. All inquiries will be addressed during this time.

The guideline is to ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for all alumni members participating in events hosted by the RMIT Vietnam Alumni. By registering for and attending these events, alumni agree to adhere to the standards set forth below. The RMIT Vietnam Alumni Relations team will determine all decisions related to policy adherence and disciplinary actions.
RMIT Vietnam Alumni Relation team organizes events for alumni to connect, engage, and support professional and personal growth. These events, which can be held in either virtual or in-person format, include business showcases, professional development workshops, gatherings, formal networking, volunteer activities, panel discussions, conferences, performances, or other social occasions.
3.1. Registration is mandatory for alumni to participate in any events hosted by RMIT Vietnam Alumni.
3.2. Only registered and invited alumni and guests are accepted to enter event venues, online and in person.
3.3. The RMIT Alumni Relations team reserves the right to verify Alumni member information at the entrance and deny entry of unregistered individuals to ensure the safety and quality of the event.
4.1. All participants must communicate with each other and staff members with respect and courtesy. (See Communication Guidelines)
4.2. Harassment, and inappropriate behaviors including physical, verbal, and non-verbal aggression toward any working staff members or other participants will not be tolerated.
4.3. Disruptive, threatening, or unwanted physical contact and any forms of sexual harm toward any staff or other participants will lead to immediate intervention including removal from the events.
5.1. Alumni members are expected to follow instructions from RMIT Alumni Relations to ensure safety and security.
5.2. Alumni must respect safety regulations on the event premises, and university property. Damage may result in liability.
5.3. Any incidents or misconduct observed should be reported immediately to working staff members for appropriate actions.
5.4. In emergencies, participants should follow any instructions from working staff members.
6.1. By attending, alumni consent to photography and videography for the university’s promotional purposes.
6.2. Alumni can notify the Alumni Relations team before the event if they wish not to appear in the event media and photography. Late or immediate requests for adjustment to the event media and photography might not be addressed right away but will be taken into consideration.
7.1. The Alumni Relations team reserves the right to remove participants from events for any breach of this guideline.
7.2. Serious or repeated misconduct may lead to restrictions from RMIT Alumni benefits including opportunities to attend future alumni events and campus facilities.
7.3. All disciplinary decisions made by the Alumni Relations team are final.
